Frank’s Enemy Racks Are Up – LEAVE A COMMENT AT FACEBOOK, WIN A TEE

First off, I finally uploaded a crapload of Frank’s Enemy designs to the Boutique.

Second off, I’m going to give away one of these shirts to the clever winner of this contest I’m running at Frank’s Enemy’s Facebook page. Just log on, like it, find the link to this very post with LEAVE CONTEST COMMENTS HERE in the description, and tell me why I should send you the shirt. I’ll pick the whiner (no specific criteria on the merits — I’ll know the sinner, er, winner when I see it) on Sunday, October 23, 2011, and notify him via Facebook message. The weiner will receive the Frank’s Enemy shirt of his choice from the racks at the Not Silent Boutique.

Third off, Printfection’s got another sale and here’s the codes (and another link the the racks):

Not Silent Boutique Opens

I finally got into the digital clothing production racket. I started with CafePress and then I realized they had certain limitations with dark apparel. I ended up with Printfection.com. So far I’ve managed to put up two Lead shirts (black long-sleeve a-la metal and white hoodie), with graphics (round logo and skull and sword) scanned from the original 1980s-era artwork. Frank’s Enemy to come. Enter the boutique here.

Oh yeah, I also updated the store graphics here. Whaddya think?

UPDATE: Looks like Printfection don’t do hats. So it looks like I’m going to have to research the proper vehicle for… the Not Silent Haberdashery

The Lead’s Past Behind EP (REX version) vinyl plus download

Here it is, as promised.

If you followed we the Lead back in the day (this being any day from 1987 to 1990 or so), you’ve probably got this on cassette. It’s the first thing REX put out with our name and it came out back when we played Cornerstone 88. But not many people got their hands on the vinyl pressing of the EP. So imagine my surprise when Nina found a few of them in her vaults. So, she and Rob and I put our signatures on them. Then I set about ripping, de-clicking, and amateur-remastering mp3s off  one of the the platters (using this, in case you’re wondering) and scanning the artwork to create an expanded digital booklet PDF. Now it’s ready to make the trip to from we to you, physically and digitally. Click here.

Vintage Vinyl Autographed by the Lead

Tomorrow is Record Store Day, so I’m starting my own record store back up.

If you have some cash left over after you visit your friendly local platter place, here are some items for your consideration.

Just saw Nina and Rob a few days ago, and in the process managed to finish getting their signatures on a few (very few) pieces of old Lead vinyl they’d been squirreling away lo all these decades, and now we’re putting them up here for you collectors that missed them 20-plus years ago. We’re including downloads of each album’s songs and artwork as part of the purchase.

I’ve already put up Automoloch and the 3=1 Past Behind. The ultra-rare vinyl pressing of the REX Past Behind is on the way.
